Upon entering the Grand Archives, players will come across a Crystal Sage. It will teleport away from the player to a higher floor while firing various spells. Follow where the Crystal Sage is going. The second appearance of the Sage will be on the same floor as a lever. Interacting with it will lower a bookshelf on the floor above. Enter the new room to find a chest that contains a Titanite Slab.
Before players fight the Lothric Twin Princes, they will find a rooftop that has three Golden Winged Knights patrolling a circular roof. Kill these three enemies to obtain a Titanite Slab. An elevator shortcut to the Lothric Princes can be found near the first Grand Archives bonfire.
Instead of heading up the elevator, step on the plate but immediately run off of the elevator. A second elevator will appear in its place. Ride this platform down to find a third Titanite Slab. After defeating the Ancient Wyvern in Archdragon Peak , players will be teleported to a new area.
Proceed as normal until reaching the Great Belfry Bonfire. Look for a ladder near the crumbled ruins to find a deceased wyvern and a Havel NPC. He is protecting the Titanite Slab on the wyvern's corpse, so players can either choose to defeat Havel and grab it or risk grabbing it while he's still alive. Chasm of the Abyss. Lost Izalith. For the second slab, you have to obtain an item called the Coiled Sword Fragment. To find that, you need to defeat Oceiros, The Consumed King. That will then lead to another optional area called the Untended Graves, which will lead to another optional boss fight. Doing so will grant you a titanite slab , although it will rob you of an item that acts as an unlimited homeward bone. There are three possible slabs to find in the Grand Archives area of the game.
The easiest one to grab involves pulling this lever on the second floor of the Grand Archives :. This could be an annoying slab to grab since this lever is between two bookcases with ghostly arms that can curse you. Head back downstairs to the area where you first saw one of those pools where you can dip your head in wax.
Go forward from there and you should see an opening where that bookcase used to be. Walk through that new area and there will be a chest containing your titanite slab. The next slab can be quite a hassle to get as it requires you to defeat three tough enemies. From the elevator that unlocks after defeating a trio of NPC characters , go forward through the doorway, up some steps, and turn left.
You should soon be on the rooftops before a tall building. Once you get close enough, three gold Winged Knights will descend from the top. The final slab in this area is incredibly easy to miss. Weapons forged with this slab become rare legendary weapons. Titanite Slab is an Ore in Dark Souls. It's a bit tedious but all the steps can be done in the time it normally takes to farm one slab and you'll have 99 instead. Have any of you ever just found a random item sack doing your slab grinding? I play online but was hollowed and already defeated 4 kings. About an hour into my grind an item appeared near the first ghost encountered before dropping down to the lower portion. I ignored it and then two runs later it was there again.
I ignored it. Then a couple runs later it was in front of first urn that gives you the transient curse. I was concerned about it being a hack that would cause my account to be banned. It could have been the game overlords having pity on my fruitless farming attempts and just dropping some slabs for me lol. Has this happened to anyone else? I've been grinding darkwraiths for hours now. I tell, it's much easier to just do another playthrough for slabs.
